Choose between Weekend or Weekend PLUS
We offer two different weekend stays at Hindsgavl Castle – Weekend and Weekend PLUS – both starting on Saturday. The difference is that Weekend PLUS includes more of the castle kitchen’s delicious food and a guided walk in the area, adding an extra dimension to the history of Hindsgavl Castle. Further down the page, you can read more about what each type of stay includes.
For both stays, you can also choose a bit of extra luxury in the form of a welcome package or an upgraded room.

- Dinner with 3 courses, generally served in The Castle barn – subject to change
- Accommodation in a standard double room in the side wings of the castle

- Departure by 11:00 AM at the latest

Guided Walk:
Take a group tour with the forester, who will tell you about the exciting history of Hindsgavl Castle and the nature park, which he has cared for in decades, including both the forest and the deer park.
Exclusively on selected dates, our director Uffe Høeg Johansen will lead the walk, sharing stories about the history of Hindsgavl Castle, the site’s renovation and transformation, spiced with enjoyable anecdotes.

Weekend stay in unique surroundings
Hindsgavl Castle is no traditional castle. Here, you have both the traditional architecture from the 18th century in the main building (the castle), and a modern, renovated design in the Castle Barn and the old stable buildings. The place is bustling with life – and yet you have all the tranquillity and space, you could want.
Enjoy a drink or a cup of tea in the beautiful castle Hall and Garden Room – they are always open for you during your weekend stay at Hindsgavl Castle. You can also explore the classicistic architecture of the castle when it is not booked for functions or meetings. Please ask our receptionists at check-in for available times to experience the magnificent castle rooms.
Recharge in beautiful nature
The landscape surrounding Hindsgavl Castle are perfect for relaxation in nature. We are situated right by The Little Belt, surrounded by a deer park and the woods – perfect for a walk along the water or in the forest. You can also take a cosy stroll in our big castle park with ocean views through the old beech crowns. Or go for a swim from the wooden pier on our small, private beach.
At Hindsgavl Castle, we have our own kitchen garden, which provides the kitchen with fresh produce during the summer season, and home preserved fruits and vegetables during the colder seasons. All meals are made from scratch with professional pride and love for the trade. You will notice it in the taste!

Experiences nearby
You are never far from good experiences when you are staying with us. The Hindsgavl peninsula, the Little Belt strait and the town Middelfart are all a short distance from Hindsgavl Castle, offering both action and recreation.
Go shopping in the cozy streets of Middelfart, sailing in the Little Belt strait or enjoy a walk in the deer park. There are plenty of adventures waiting for you at, in and around Hindsgavl Castlet. You can also test your relationship and get an adrenalin rush by going Bridgewalking across the old Little Belt Bridge, which is 60 meters above ground.
